As part of the Saint Gobain network, we support a chosen charity as part of our ‘together’ charity programme – with a different cause benefitting every 2 years.
Since its launch in 2002 this programme has raised over £2 million for worthy causes including Help the Hospices, The British Heart Foundation, Great Ormond Street and Cancer Research UK. The programme encourages staff, their families, customers and suppliers to organise and participate in a range of activities to support the nominated charity through fundraising and volunteering.
Right now we’re working in partnership with Macmillan Cancer Support to help ensure no one faces cancer alone.
Over the next two years we’re aiming to raise enough money to fund five Macmillan nurses. Macmillan nurses are a lifeline for people affected by cancer. They are a valued and trusted source of expert information, providing practical advice and emotional support for those affected by cancer, and their families, when they need it most.
One in three of us will get cancer and it’s the toughest thing most of us will ever face. If you’ve been diagnosed with cancer you don’t just worry about what will happen to your body, you worry about what will happen to your life. At Macmillan, we know how a cancer diagnosis can affect everything and we’re here to support you through.
We provide practical, medical and financial support and push for better cancer care. We are Macmillan Cancer Support.
The number of people with cancer is growing every day. We want to reach and improve the lives of every one of those people. Visit www.macmillan.org.uk for more information.
Active in our communities
We also think it’s important to support the communities in which we operate. All our branches are encouraged to become involved in local activities by donating materials, expertise or time to local organisations and community projects. Keep an eye on our blog www.channelgraham.co.uk for news.
